They spent their summer at Fort Clatsop in Clatsop county Oregon. It was about 1805-1806 and it was a busy winter, throughout that winter they made new clothes, repaired their weapons and worked on updating all their journals and records. It’s the also the winter were just a bit after restarting the expedition and starting to head back home that they had to say their goodbyes to their dear friends Sacagawea, her husband Charbonneau and their young son Baptiste, who had been such an necessary help throughout their great expedition, it was a sad an emotional moment Lewis and Clark new that their expedition was coming to an end.
